Tianditu

Maps and footprints are powered by Tianditu and are used for place management, footprint display, and location info in your entries.

Get an API key

Register on the Tianditu Developer Platform.
Under Console → App Management, create a new application.
Set the application type to Browser; once created, you'll get an API Key (tk).

TIP

Tianditu is free for individual developers, with a higher quota after identity verification. Don't opt into any paid value-added services.

Configure in Moodiary

Go to Settings → Services → Map and paste in the API Key.

Once configured, you can use:

Place management: save frequent places like home and work.
Footprint map: revisit recorded places on a map.
Entry location: attach location info when writing.

FAQ

Blank map or tile errors: check that the key is correct, the app type is Browser, and that today's quota isn't used up.
Inaccurate location: footprints are based on your saved places and entry records, not continuous background tracking.
