Editing entries

Moodiary's editor is built on TipTap and runs in a native WebView, balancing rich-text power with smooth performance.

How to input

• WYSIWYG: format your text as in any document — the toolbar sets headings, bold, lists, quotes, and more.
• Markdown syntax: if you prefer Markdown, just type # Heading, - list, or **bold**, and the editor converts it on the fly.

Insert media

Entries aren't just text. From the editor toolbar you can insert:

• Images: pick from your album or take a photo on the spot;
• Audio and video: handy for capturing a sound or a clip.

Media files are stored in the app's data directory and managed together in the media library.

Title, category and weather

On an entry's edit screen you can set:

• Title: the first thing you see in the list;
• Category: groups entries on the same theme — see categories;
• Weather and place: choose them manually, or have them filled in automatically after you configure QWeather.

Delete and trash

Deleting an entry doesn't make it vanish right away. It moves to the Trash first, where you can restore it or purge it for good. The trash lives in the home screen's sidebar.

WARNING

Once an entry is purged from the trash it cannot be recovered — handle with care.

Details like first-line indent

In Settings you can adjust habits such as the first-line indent, so the editor feels closer to writing on paper.
