Export, import, and sharing
Your data only truly belongs to you once it can leave Moodiary.
Export
From an entry's detail page you can choose an export format:

Embedded media travels with the text, and long-image export keeps your layout intact.
Backup
Settings → Backup generates an archive containing all your entries, media, and settings. The backup can:
- Be stored on your device or any cloud drive;
- Be fully restored on another device via Import backup.
A good rhythm
Make a full backup before switching devices and before any major version update.
Import
Two sources are supported:
- Markdown archive: package another app's Markdown export into a zip and import it;
- Local backup: restore a backup created by Moodiary.
Sharing
Sharing a single entry is the same as exporting it to your chosen format and then opening the system share sheet — send it straight to a friend, or save it to your photo library (as a long image).
